Now, if you don't already know, you're probably asking yourself "Ok...now what the heck is the AFoA?" The AFoA is the Absurdist Foundation of America. We are a group of friends around the world who met online mostly through Yahoo!'s the On Broadway chatroom, and also through a Yahoo! theatre club (now deceased, and most of the AFoA members would rather it not be mentioned anyways). The AFoA members all share at least one thing in common--we love theatre! Favourite Broadway musicals of Absurdists include (but are by no means limited to) Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera (though there is a general dislike of ALW himself--the money-grubbing...*ahem*...*smiles sweetly*); Boublil and Schönberg's Les Misérables, Miss Saigon, Martin Guerre ; Frank Wildhorn's Jekyll & Hyde and The Scarlet Pimpernel ; and various others.
